DocShare launched during Internet Week NY and is growing rapidly. DocShare is a social document sharing community, easily described as a YouTube for documents. The company has other competition in the field however it differentiates itself by providing quality content. The algorithms which determine the documents seen is similar to that of Digg. DocShare relies on community interaction which helps it filter out the good from the bad content. All documents are viewed on the website through a custom flash document viewer. 2. Share your documents: by uploading your documents to DocShare you can organize and share your content with others. Just as you would do on YouTube. Embedding is a breeze just upload and copy down the embed code to put on your blog or website.

3. Security & Analytics: Track who is viewing your documents where they are coming from and how many times. Rather than blindly post documents to the web without control you now have the ability to remove a document and not allow downloads. This is flash it streams therefore they don’t save a copy on their hard drive.

4. Download and favorite documents: In as many formats as you can upload, you can download documents too. DocShare allows you to view your documents online, or embed them on another site. You can favorite documents you find interesting without having to even download them.
